Ready, set, goal! If you have soccer fans in your household, you probably already know that Seattle is playing host to one of the year’s most exciting sports events: the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup. Seattle’s Lumen Field is one of the 12 venues around the U.S. to hold six out of a total of 63 matches played between June 14 and July 13; with our own Sounders FC playing in three of the matches. Alongside the games themselves, families can enjoy a flurry of soccer-themed celebrations, events and activities around the Sound and experience the Club World Cup spirit.

Ready to play (or watch) ball? We got the lowdown on where to get your taste of the big game with kiddos in tow: from seeing the action live at the stadium, to local watch parties and family-friendly venues where you can catch a match without needing to brave the crowds; as well as all the soccer fun going on around town!

And mark your calendars for an even bigger soccer milestone happening this time next year: Seattle’s first match of the FIFA World Cup 2026, for which the city will also host six games.

Where to watch the FIFA Club World Cup 2025 games with kids

At the stadium

Six thrilling matches are taking place at Lumen Field for those lucky enough to see the game live. The scheduled dates are set to start on June 15 (can you say perfect Father’s Day outing!), followed by June 17, 19, 21, 23 and 25.

Tickets are available on Ticketmaster and start at around $70. Visit the FIFA or Sounders FC websites for details on teams, times, ticketing and more. Pro tip: Follow FIFA’s social media channels to keep an eye out for discounted prices prior to the match dates.

Downtown Seattle festivities

Kicking off all the excitement on the first match day, June 15, is a packed schedule of free family-friendly festivities in downtown Seattle.

The action starts with the Seattle Takes on the World (Record) event at Pier 62: a try to get the Guinness World Record for the World’s Largest Soccer Lesson. Over 1,000 participants will come together for a 30-minute soccer lesson, led by Seattle’s leading soccer personalities, including Sounders FC and Reign FC players and coaches. Ages 6 and older are welcome with a participating adult; pre-registration for the event is full but you might be able to still snag a spot by showing up.

A Fan Fest will take place at Occidental Park, featuring a plethora of family fun: live music, booths, food trucks, kids activity stations and a mini soccer pitch. Fans are then welcome to join the March to the Match to walk to Lumen Field ahead of the evening’s game; families can stop by the Sounders FC booth to learn about club programs like Sammy’s Squad kids’ club, and the First Match On Us program which lets first-timers score free tickets to their first match.

The celebration will continue for the Sounders’ next two tournament matches on June 19 and 23, with live performances and festivities happening at Occidental Park on both days.
