Molly Moon's Homemade Ice Cream
You already know we're all over free stuff, and when it's free ice cream, you'll find us at the front of the line.
In honor of its 10th anniversary, popular local purveyor Molly Moon's Homemade Ice Cream plans to give out free scoops Thursday, May 10, 2018 at its eight Seattle-area locations. There is a catch so take note: Free scoops are for the first 100 customers at each of its shops. Most shops open at noon, but the U Village location opens at 11 a.m. Don't be late.
At the original Wallingford shop, Molly Moon herself will be on hand today, 3–5 p.m., for an ice cream-themed birthday party, complete with a DJ playing tunes. This shop opened its doors May 10, 2008. Note: If you go for the party at 3 p.m., it seems likely the 100 free scoops will have already been doled out.
Molly Moon's specializes in local ingredients and rotating seasonal flavors, such as Sasquatch and Vegan Coconut Chunk. The company is also known for its mission-driven business practices. So don't sweat it if you miss the free scoops, go ahead and buy a scoop for your ice cream-craving kids (I mean self) and know that you're supporting a community-focused business.
Find Molly Moon's Seattle scoop shops in Wallingford, Capitol Hill, Madrona, Queen Anne, U Village, 19th and Mercer and Columbia City, and on the Eastside in Redmond. That's 800 free scoops of homemade ice cream! But still, like I said, don't be late.
