Kids needed to perform in Seattle Opera's 'Magic Flute'

Published on: December 30, 2013

I just got this from Seattle's Opera's Paula Podemski, who's looking for kids to perform in The Magic Flute in May. My daughter was part of The Ring in August, 2009, and had a unique experience behind the scenes (and onstage at McCaw Hall)-- plus, we got uber-cute pictures of her in swaddled in her dust-mite-like costume.

So, if you're interested and your child meets the following requirements, give Paula a holler. This is one place where we shorties can shine.

Seattle Opera is seeking children between the heights 3’04” – 4’04” and at least six years of age  to appear as “chicks” in its upcoming production of The Magic Flute.  Both girls and boys are needed.

These are “supernumerary” positions (volunteers who appear in non-speaking, non-singing roles).  Children receive two tickets to a dress rehearsal of the show.  The time commitment is April-May 2011.

Please contact Paula Podemski, 206-676-5812; paula.podemski@seattleopera.org
