Squishmallows have become a household favorite for their cute characters and comfy forms. Your house might be up to the brim with these adorable plushies, but who couldn’t use a few more? Now, you can add to your growing collection when you buy a Happy Meal at McDonald’s.
The partnership between the fast-food giant and Jazwares (the creators of Squishmallows) was announced in December and customers will have a limited time to collect all 12 mini Squishmallows.
“We’re all about connecting our fans to culture and Squishmallows are some of the hottest toys out there right now,” said Tariq Hassan, McDonald’s USA chief marketing and customer experience officer in a press release. “This collaboration welcomes McDonald’s and Squishmallow fans alike to enjoy this one-of-a-kind experience with the first McDonald’s Squishmallows Squad.”
Well-known Squishmallow characters such as Cam and Fifi join the group as well as classic McDonald’s character, Grimace. Each Squishmallow comes with its own carefully-curated playlist that families can access by scanning a QR code on the Happy Meal box.
“The Squishmallows Happy Meal has taken the world by storm,” said Gerhard Runken, Senior Vice President of Brand & Marketing at Jazwares. “We are excited to bring the program to our millions of fans in the U.S. with fun new ways to collect and connect with the Squishmallows brand.”
