We are always excited when the Washington State Spring Fair rolls around. It’s got everything we love about the bigger summer fair — think rides, animals and fair food — but with smaller crowds. This year marks the 35th anniversary of the Washington State Spring Fair, so expect plenty of nostalgia and fanfare to be sprinkled into your typical experience. Plus, it comes at the perfect time of year when we’re shoving aside any rainy winter doldrums and embracing the season, right? Let’s do it.

In 2025, the Spring Fair takes place over two weekends: Thursday–Sunday, April 10–13 and Thursday–Sunday, April 17–20. Tickets are on sale now.

New attractions and vendors

Goat Playground

Barn D is where families will find this playful new fair exhibition featuring everyone’s favorite blackberry bush annihilators, goats. Watch as 20 goats of all shapes and sizes romp around the playground, which features planks, tables, play structures and more. While the display is one way to keep goats healthy (with all that exercise), parents know it’s also a boon to kid entertainment.

Egg-cellent Easter Adventures

Easter fun is happening at the Fair this year (April 17–20). Marvel at Peeps and jelly bean creative displays, or sit down with the kids to do a few spring crafts when you need to take a breather. Easter fans of all ages can get in on the Golden Egg scavenger hunt, taking place throughout the fairgrounds that weekend.

The big draw will be the chance to hop over and snap a photo with the Easter Bunny. Find him in the pavilion from 5–7 p.m., April 17–20 and from 11 a.m.–1 p.m. April 18–20.

New food vendors

It’s not a trip to the fair without some yummy treats. New fair food vendors in 2025 include:

  • Miss C’s Chicken Shack: Southern favorites including Nashville Hot Crispy Chicken Sandwich and Potato Jojos.
  • Cevicheria Mahi Mahi: Ceviche every which way, making its Spring Fair debut!

Also new this year: Fair Meal Deals. On weekdays, certain vendors will offer $10 meals that include a standard-size entrée and side dish and/or drink.

Returning Fair favorites

Motorsport Mayhem

Popular Motorsport Mayhem shows take place both weekends this year, April 11–13 and 18–20. Slamfest Demo Derby takes place April 11–13. Monster Truck Insanity Next Level Tour takes place April 18–20. Tickets are required in addition to gate admission, and you can find lots of deals and packages online. Tricked-out monster trucks, smoke-filled drifts, smashing cars and boats collide for an action-packed event you won’t want to miss!

Expedition: Dinosaur Rise of the Mammals

Enter the prehistoric world of dinosaurs at this returning exhibit featuring large-scale animatronic dinosaurs and an immersive journey for the whole family. Hunt for fossils aboard a 1950s Willys Jeep, experience the dinosaurs’ final moments in a dramatic 360 degree theater presentation, and test your paleontology skills scanning replica bones and skulls like real scientists. Tickets are $8 for everyone ages 3 and older (family packs are available).

Racing pigs

These little piggies deliver big-time entertainment every year. Watching the races is included with gate admission.

It wouldn’t be the Fair without animals to admire, including pygmy goats, bunnies, miniature horses, llamas and more. Viewing the animals is included with gate admission.

DockDogs

Athletic pooches race down a 40-foot runway and launch themselves into the air to catch a baton before splashing into the 27,000 gallon landing tank. It’s awesome! This show is included with gate admission.
