Sorticulture: Everett’s Garden Arts Festival

Calendar/Event Details

Sorticulture, Everett's Garden Festival, is a three-day celebration of the best parts of Pacific Northwest outdoor living. Hosted in the seaside city of Everett, Washington, Sorticulture is the premier festival for garden art, local plants and flowers, and handmade outdoor products. From classical to whimsical, abstract to figurative, Sorticulture features fountains, trellises, iron and cement sculpture, found objects, mosaics and more!

Fun activities for kids!

We encourage gardening for all ages and have incorporated some fun youth activities into Sorticulture! Thank you to our partners in fun for youth in downtown Everett!

  • Schack Art Center is hosting art classes throughout the Sorticulture weekend. Space is limited and the classes are fee-based, but scholarships are available. View the class list and schedule.
  • Imagine Children's Museum will be doing a free planter decorating activity at the intersection of Colby and Wall Street on each day of the festival. After decorating their planters, families are encouraged to visit the museum to transform them into a fairy or dragon garden with admission.
  • Visit Everett hosts an information booth at Colby and Hewitt (by the Bank of America Building). Stop by to grab stickers, coloring sheets, Sorticulture posters and more.
  • Everett Public Library is hosting Storytime at the Schack Art Center on Friday, June 6, at 10:30 a.m. They are also creating a special "Curiosity Academy" for art, literature, storytelling, music and science on Saturday, June 7, at the main branch.
