Bellevue Chamber Chorus – ‘Plus One: A Generation of Young Artists’

Sunday, March 15 @ 3 p.m.–5 p.m.

Bellevue Chamber Chorus’ Ben Luedcke, Artistic Director presents:

Plus One: A Generation of Young Artists

Bellevue’s finest youth instrumentalists join us as we present music for choir and one single solo instrument, including solo clarinet, oboe, violin, cello, upright bass, and percussion. Support new music as we present the piece “It’s Dark in Here” by Taleya Jordan, the winner of Bellevue Chamber Chorus’ “Plus One” composer competitionOther works include “The Sun Never Says” by Dan Forrest, set for choir and cello, excerpts from Cecil Effinger’s “Four Pastorales”, with texts by Thomas Hornsby Ferril, “O Love” by Elaine Hagenberg, with cello, and “Bridge Over Troubled Water”. Folk legend Lead Belly’s “Bring Me Little Water Silvy” is set for choir and upright bass and will surely leave the audience tapping their feet and singing along.

Bellevue Chamber Chorus is supported in part by the Bellevue Arts Commission and 4Culture.
