Birds Near My Home: Stories & Gift Making

Saturday, Dec. 6 @ 10 a.m.–12 p.m.

Join local author and illustrator Lori Kothe and the  Seward Park Audubon Center for a fun morning of bird stories, trivia, and kid-friendly art activities with friends and neighbors. Nature lovers of all ages are invited to create bird-themed suncatchers and outdoor birdseed ornaments while enjoying quirky rhyming poems, bird sounds, and fun facts about 9 Seattle wild birds featured in Lori’s new picture book, Birds Near My Home in the City by the Sea (birdsnearmyhome.com). Come share your favorite bird stories and tell us more about what you’d like to see offered at Seward Park Audubon for children and families.

Whether you’re a seasoned birder or just curious about the feathered friends in your neighborhood, this free event is a wonderful way to connect with others, be creative through art, and celebrate the natural world together.

Registration will open Thursday, December 4th at 2pm PST.
