Join us for the third annual BrainFest, a day of brainy fun for all ages at PacSci. Explore hands-on activities, meet Allen Institute scientists and collaborators, learn about cutting-edge neuroscience research, and even touch a real brain!
Whether you’re a budding young scientist, a lifelong learner, or simply fascinated by how the mind works, BrainFest 2026 promises a full day of discovery, inspiration, and wonder.
Featured activities may include:
- Look at real mouse and human brain samples under a microscope.
- Listen in on the electricity in your own nervous system.
- Play games to explore how the brain develops across childhood.
- Investigate the shapes of real brain cells and make your own pipe cleaner model to take home.
- Compare different animal brains – including a T. Rex brain cast!
- Learn about Alzheimer’s disease and other conditions with real human brains from the UW Biorepository.
- Meet neuroscientists from the Allen Institute and other local institutions.
Tickets: BrainFest is included with General Admission. A limited number of free general admission tickets will be given out at the door starting at 10 a.m.
This event is a partnership of the Allen Institute and Pacific Science Center.
