City Nature Challenge

Friday, April 24 @ 8 a.m.–8 p.m.

Recurring Event (See all)

Get outside. Watch nature. ID and discover. Free. All ages. Help the Puget Sound area (including Tacoma, Seattle, Bellevue, Everett and any place within Snohomish, King and Pierce counties!) show the world how biodiverse our region is by making observations of local species during City Nature Challenge!

Watch nature and report your findings April 24-27

Join us, plus partners Northwest Trek and Woodland Park Zoo, in finding and documenting as much wildlife as you can! Report your findings on the iNaturalist app from April 24-27. Not familiar with the app? Not to worry, it’s super user-friendly.

Then ID your findings on the app, through May 10.

Through May 10, ID as many wildlife findings as you can on iNaturalist – your own or other people’s.

Who will find the most species? Or the most unusual?

Every year, everyone has a chance to be the best at spotting nature! Can Tacoma record the most sightings? Can YOU find the most unusual species?

Get out there and let’s see!
