Earth Day at 21 Acres

Calendar/Event Details

Spend your Earth Day with us at 21 Acres! 21 Acres has Earth Day activities going on all day and you're invited!

9:30 am - 1 pm: VOLUNTEERING: EARTH DAY – ACTION THROUGH AGROECOLOGY
Each year, Earth Day volunteers work alongside our knowledgeable staff on a variety of seasonal projects on our agroecological farm, helping build healthy soil, support local food systems, and take vital action for the climate. Join your neighbors here and around the world in giving back to the earth while connecting with people who share your passion. No prior farm experience required! All tools provided. Ages 13 and older, please.

1 - 2 pm: 21 ACRES EARTH DAY GREEN BUILDING TOUR
Curious about how renewable energy technologies and green buildings contribute to climate action? Join us on campus this Earth Day for a tour of the 21 Acres Green Building! You will get a behind-the-scenes look at the tools and technologies utilized by our LEED Platinum-certified building, and an understanding of the real connections between clean energy, water, and food, and how they influence our environment, health, and economy.

2 - 3 pm: 21 ACRES EARTH DAY FARM WALK
Farming has never been more essential to our local and global communities. Celebrate Earth Day by joing us for an in-person tour on the 21 Acres Farm to explore how agroecology, soil health & land stewardship can build resilient local food economies and support direct climate action. Walk along and visit our organic fields, wetlands, solar-powered projects, and much more. Every fourth Saturday of the month, we uncover what farming in the Sammamish Valley looks like.

Register for each separately at the website below.
