Earth Day at the Arboretum

Calendar/Event Details

Visit the Washington Park Arboretum on Saturday, April 19, for a meaningful day of hands-on conservation!

NURTURE POLLINATORS: Support native bees by building a pollinator hotel (kid-friendly activity). Visit the UW Botanic Gardens discovery cart for hands-on learning and fun facts about the tiny creatures that power our ecosystems. Ask a Master Gardener how to create pollinator-friendly habitats at home. Learn about the Arboretum's "no mow meadows" and how they help birds, bees, and butterflies thrive.

EXPLORE: Take time to explore 230 acres of gardens, trails, and natural areas. The Arboretum in April is a floral paradise, abuzz with busy pollinators.

VOLUNTEER: Help protect and enhance this cherished green space by removing invasive weeds from plant collections as part of a volunteer work crew (ages 15+). Pre-registration is required.
