Earth Day Orca Cantata

Friday, April 24 @ 7:30 p.m.–9:30 p.m.

Recurring Event (See all)

Join the Puget Sound Chapter of the American Cetacean Society on April 24th and 26th at Phinney Ridge Lutheran Church for special Earth Day gatherings bringing together music, storytelling, and conversation about our connection to the Southern Resident Orcas and the Salish Sea.

The events feature The Orca Cantata and related environmental works composed by Frederick West, performed by the Turquoise Vocal Ensemble, with special guest speaker Marcia Henton Davis (author and longtime carer of Tokitae).

In addition to the beautiful music, you will learn more about the obstacles the Southern Resident Orcas face and hear the remarkable story of Tokitae and her relationship with Marcia.
