An Interactive Evening Suitable for Introverts: Music, Poetry, and Creativity Await

Seattle, June 7, 2026 – An evening designed to foster curiosity and creativity, “An Interactive Evening Suitable for Introverts” invites guests to enjoy a night of music, poetry, and hands-on art—all at their own pace. Hosted by singer-songwriter Allison Preisinger, this event at Kenyon Hall in West Seattle on Sunday, June 7th is the perfect opportunity to explore your creative side in a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere, whether you prefer to observe or actively participate.

Inspired by the unique collaboration between poetry and music in Preisinger’s latest album release entitled “Standing Steady”, the evening will feature live performances from local artists, including Amy Laybourn, Mark Ippolito, Allison Preisinger, and poetry readings by Lori Bellamy. Attendees can enjoy this diverse array of artistic expression while immersing themselves in their own creative process.

The event will offer a range of interactive experiences, including DIY Kits. The highlight of the evening will be the workshop with local artist Adrienne Pierce. Adrienne is a Canadian painter, art educator, and singer-songwriter based in Seattle. She has over a decade of experience teaching art to students of all ages. Her own work explores themes of identity, transformation, and the natural world. Adrienne brings a thoughtful, process-oriented approach to creativity, encouraging participants to let go of perfection and reconnect with play. As both an artist and teacher, she creates welcoming spaces where participants of all skill levels can explore, experiment, and express themselves freely.

Drop in and enjoy a fun, hands-on art experience inspired by color, texture, and the serene beauty of the natural world. Experiment with gelli plate printmaking to create one-of-a-kind pieces using found objects as well as flowers, shells, and other materials.

If you’re looking for a gentle starting point, a series of art games inspired by Kandinsky, Kahlo, Basquiat, Kusama, O’Keeffe, and others, offers a low-pressure way to spark ideas and embrace spontaneity. This is a self-guided, come-and-go workshop for exploration and connection, where you are free to engage at your own pace. Whether staying for a few minutes or settling in for longer, the focus is on process over product.

All necessary materials for the workshops will be provided, and participants will have the chance to take home their finished prints. Additional creative stations for drawing, coloring, and other artistic activities will also be available throughout the evening, making it easy to find a creative outlet that suits your mood.

This event is designed with introverts in mind, though is open to all, offering a low-pressure environment to engage with art, music, and poetry in whatever way feels most comfortable. Whether you wish to simply observe, create at your own pace, or participate in the workshop, the evening promises to inspire curiosity, connection, and creativity.
