Living Voices at NAAM

Saturday, Feb. 14 @ 2 p.m.–4 p.m.

Recurring Event (See all)

Join us at the Northwest African American Museum on February 14 and 28 for two powerful live performances presented by Living Voices that bring history to life through storytelling and film. Our Revolution follows the story of a young Black colonist fighting for liberty, land, and future during the American Revolution, exploring the complexities of freedom and nationhood through riveting solo performance and archival footage. The Right to Dream shifts to the Civil Rights era, tracing a young man’s journey growing up in the segregated South and spotlighting the 1960s fight for voting rights, youth activism, community organizing, and the personal sacrifices that helped move a country forward. Together, these dynamic multimedia productions offer moving, human perspectives on democracy, race, equity, and civic participation. RSVP today to reserve your spot and experience these unforgettable performances. Members are free, non-members are free with the price of admission.
