Nature Walk & Fossil making at Magnuson Park

Sunday, Aug. 16 @ 9:30 a.m.–12 p.m.

Recurring Event (See all)

This event is meant to bring families outdoors to engage with environmental science topics using clay. We’ll start out talking a bit about how fossils are made before walking around for a little hike and searching for plant materials to eventually settle to make your own fossils using clay. Once fired and picked up, families will be able to “open” their fossils with kids and revisit learning goals. Kids under 5 are free.
