Recurring Event (See all)

We’re so excited to be back in Bellevue this summer for our FREE Pop-Up Arts Playground! We will be at Ashwood Park and Playfield on July 7, 14, and 21 from 12pm-2pm. Everyone is welcome and all supplies will be provided. Read below for information about each day’s art activity.

July 7 – Made in Washington
Celebrate Washington pride through art and creativity. We will create pins and patches, design fan flags, and create chalk murals to brighten up our park walks. Using fabric, felt, paper, stickers, beads, and clothespins.

July 14 – Letters from Washington
What does home mean to you? Share stories, memories, and connections to our Washington community and beyond. What brought you here today…and where are you going next? Participants will design their own postcards and stamps and add to a community mural to celebrate why we love Washington. Using acrylic and watercolor paint and block print stamps and ink.

July 21 – Pacific Northwest Flair
Explore functional, expressive summer design. We will decorate hand fans and visors to keep cool, create recycled materials collages, and use name poetry to create a collective poem. Using ornamental and decorative paper, wood, stickers, acrylic paint markers, cardboard visors, recycled materials and nature.
