Secular Humanistic Hanukkah Celebration & Potluck

Sunday, Dec. 21 @ 4 p.m.–6 p.m.

Come join the Circle for a Secular Humanistic Hanukkah Celebration and community potluck! This is a great opportunity for secular-curious Jews and open-minded families to learn about and experience a secular Hanukkah celebration. (Wait…secular Hanukkah?)

Learn how to fry latkes, play traditional games of dreidel with friends old and new, and of course, light your menorah with the whole community! The 21st will be the final night of Hanukkah this year, so every family’s menorah will have NINE candles going! Bring your sunglasses; it’s gonna get BRIGHT!

This is an ALL AGES event! There will be an arts & crafts table, showing of classic Hanukkah kids’ cartoons, and plenty of FOOD! (If you’ll be bringing anything for the potluck, please include a full ingredients list to be mindful of others’ allergies & sensitivities!)

This event will be fully accessible, with wheelchair ramps, gender-neutral restrooms and sensory-safe spaces. If there’s any other accommodations you might need, don’t hesitate to reach out and ask! We want everyone to feel welcome and have a great time!
