Secular Humanistic Passover Seder & Potluck Dinner

Saturday, April 4 @ 5 p.m.–8 p.m.

Come join the Circle for a Secular Humanistic Passover Seder and potluck dinner! Passover is a Jewish high holiday that recounts the Exodus myth. (Wait…secular Passover?) This is a great opportunity for secular-curious Jewish families, and open-minded families looking to introduce their children to new cultures, to experience Passover without the religious dogma.

We’ll sift the facts from the myth of the Exodus story via our adapted, contemporary Haggadah, host a traditional afikomen hunt for the kids (with prizes!), and of course, what would a Passover Seder be without a festive meal?

It’s more important than ever to familiarize ourselves with the past, so we can recognize patterns of injustice recurring today, and unite our communities in solidarity with reason and compassion.

This is an all ages event, but please bear in mind that the Exodus story discusses several heavy topics, such as violence, slavery and death, which you may not deem suitable for your family. (Don’t worry, we don’t go into any gruesome details.) Let us know if you’d like to prescreen our Haggadah prior to registration.

For families unable to attend in person, a livestreaming option is available at the bottom of the event registration form.
