SOGO Spring Concert

Sunday, May 17 @ 4 p.m.–6 p.m.

SOGO’s spring concert marks the powerful finale of its 26th season and the culmination of Paths to Dignity—a year-long project to build meaningful connections between homeless advocacy groups and cultural organizations. SOGO alumnus Dillon Welch, now performing with the Louisville Orchestra, returns to play Shelter for My Child, the poignant third movement of Lucas Richman’s Violin Concerto: Paths to Dignity. Also taking the stage is SOGO alumnus and jazz vocalist Elliot Weeks, sharing his soulful rendition of What a Wonderful World. The Conservatory Orchestra will close the season with the vibrant Polovtsian Dances by Alexander Borodin.

The Philharmonic and Academy Orchestras, along with the Brass Choir, will complete the program with expressive performances of classical gems and adventurous contemporary works.
