Eclectic, artsy, earthy and committed to a better future… that’s Sustainable Ballard and the Annual Sustainable Ballard Festival. Join your Ballard neighbors on September 26th at Loyal Heights Community Center for creativity, passion and community-building while learning about daily practices and green steps toward more sustainable living.

Family-friendly, fun, FREE, and full of surprises! Visit local sustainable businesses and non-profits, catch some live music, and enjoy refreshments from local food trucks. We’ll have apple pressing for cider, hula hooping, corn holing, solar race car racing, and more! Attend workshops to learn more ways we can steward the planet we call home. Play games and quizzes for prizes like “Guess the Weight” a produce box with our Market Gleaners. Try some DIY projects like birdhouse-making with our Ballard Tool Library team or making cider with our cider press. Make sure to bring plants for our plant exchange with our Edible Garden Tour and Ballard Sprouts, and games and puzzles for the Game & Puzzle Swap. Check out some movie trailers and vote for your favorites with our Meaningful Movies Ballard team. Enjoy some free samples and learn new ways to lower your carbon footprint! Don’t forget to grab some $5 raffle tickets where you could win our grand prize!: an electric bike from Electric & Folding Bikes NW. The Sustainable Ballard Festival is a fantastically fun opportunity to learn together, get inspired, and discover new ways to live more lightly on the earth.
