The Tacoma Light Trail is a free winter festival of light art in downtown Tacoma that features outdoor performances, dragon parades, lumens concerts, a lighted bike ride, illuminated art throughout downtown, and much more.
The festivities will kickoff with a magical Dragon Parade and an outdoor event filled with performances by Asian Pacific Cultural Center’s fire and cultural dancers, tap dancer Nyah Hart, Tacoma Poet Laureate Mari Griffin, Tacomarama Band, and our beloved fire-breathing dragon parade. All attendees are encouraged to light up the festival by wearing or bringing their own lights: LED umbrellas, fairy light tutus, flashing shoes, and lanterns are welcome! All events are free and family-friendly, taking place at Tollefson Plaza,1548 Commerce St. (Heavy rain/snow will relocate this event to T.U.P.A.C. website & socials for updates).
This year’s theme, “Six Years of Joy, Light & Community,” honors the iconic light art and artists who
shaped the festival’s history while welcoming bold new artists and visions to the trail.
