Tacoma’s 4th of July Summer Blast is the City of Tacoma’s official 4th of July Celebration.
This annual event takes place on Dune Peninsula and the iconic Ruston Way Waterfront and features two distinct event footprints, over 150 vendors, 2 stages and a 20-minute firework display. This event is the largest free community event in the South Sound.
The fireworks display will launch from a barge about 3,000 feet offshore from Cummings Park, maximizing prime visibility from most parks along the Ruston Way Waterfront, from Dune Peninsula Park in the north to Jack Hyde Park in the south. The fireworks show is presented by Emerald Queen Casino, in partnership with Metro Parks Tacoma and the City of Tacoma.
Entertainment created especially for kids will be bursting from the Family Zone at Cummings Park all day long! Bring the youngsters to burn off energy in the bounce houses, get creative with sand art and canvas painting, dance the afternoon away, get a fancy Summer Blast braided hairstyle and more! Activities are designed with a younger crowd in mind. The Family Zone.
