‘The Right Track’: Documentary Screening and Panel Discussion

Monday, Nov. 9 @ 6:30 p.m.–8 p.m.

There is a lot of information and misinformation about trafficking in the media. This event is an opportunity to hear directly from survivors and stand together as a community to prevent the sexual exploitation of children.

The Right Track is an award-winning documentary that tells the story of sex trafficking across North America through the voices of survivors. These are the people who lived it and are now leading the work to end it. The film won Best Full-Length Documentary at the Block Island Film Festival and the Human Rights Award at the Mystic Film Festival, and it has screened from Los Angeles to Paris to Dublin. Its message is one we believe deeply at Everstrong: “When survivors come together, oppression crumbles.”

This evening was shaped from the ground up by Everstrong’s Survivor Council. After the film, survivor leaders will join our Program Director, Tanya Fernandez, for a conversation about what they wish adults had known, what helped, and what real prevention looks like in our schools and communities. It’s the heart of what we do at Everstrong: giving young people the knowledge and resilience to recognize risk and look out for each other.
