Get ready to lace up your hiking boots. Your ride to the mountains is back.

Trailhead Direct is provided by King County Metro, in partnership with King County Parks and Seattle Department of Transportation and sponsored by Amazon. This project seeks to ease vehicle congestion, reduce safety hazards and expand access to hiking destinations along I-90. The Trailhead Direct service runs on designated weekends and holidays.

Trailhead Direct is a seasonal service that operates on weekends and designated holidays. The designated holidays for operation are Memorial Day (Monday, May 25) and Independence Day (Friday, July 3).

Routes:

Trailheads: Mount SiMount TeneriffeLittle Si

Start point: Bus stop at 16th Ave E & E Denny Way (in front of Kaiser complex). Make stops along E John St.

Additional stops at Broadway and E Denny Way across from Sound transit Capitol Hill link light rail station, on Fourth Avenue in downtown Seattle near University Street link light rail station, at South Bellevue light rail/South Bellevue Park-and-Ride, and North Bend Park-and-Ride.

End point: Bus stop at 16th Ave E & E Denny Way E (in front of Kaiser complex).

Trailheads: Margaret’s WaySquak Mountain

Start and end point: Mount Baker Transit Center Bay 2 across the street from Sound Transit’s Mount Baker Link light rail station on Rainier Avenue South.

Additional stops at South Bellevue light rail/South Bellevue Park-and-Ride and Issaquah Transit Center
