Up and Atom: Mexican Folk Art Alebrijes

Join us at Swasey for Up and Atom STEAM Days where we try out Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math activities.

This week we’ll learn about alebrijes—brightly colored fantastical creatures in Mexican folk art. We’ll design and build our own alebrije-inspired creature using simple craft materials, incorporating STEAM concepts like symmetry, structure, and color theory.
