Walking with History: Elise Farrel – McWhirter

Saturday, March 7 @ 10 a.m.–11:30 a.m.

(Ages 8+) Celebrate Women’s History month with one of Redmond’s original leading ladies. Elise Farrel – McWhirter was born to one of the wealthiest families in New England in 1878. She was an heiress expected to conform to the constraints of the high society Victorian era. She didn’t…Follow the journey of a woman that traded Park Avenue for a mountain trail, and lace for blue jeans. Her home was Redmond. Her legacy lives on in the park that bears her name and in all the peoples’ hearts that visit there.

Reminders:

The Farrel – McWhirter Park session includes a behind the scenes walking tour that all session participants can attend.
RCCMV and RSCC sessions do not include a walking tour, but will have Q & A.
