You’re Not Alone: A Community Event for Families Navigating Substance Use

Sunday, April 26 @ 12 p.m.–2 p.m.

In partnership with the Harm Reduction Doula Collective and with support from the Pulitzer Center, this community event centers the experiences of pregnant and parenting folks navigating substance use.  Our goal is to facilitate connection, share resources, and affirm you.

What to expect: You’ll hear from parents and their lived experience with substance use, and we’ll invite you to share your story if you want — whether via speaking or a collaborative art project. There will also be a mini-resource fair with representatives from agencies and organizations that support this community.

In addition, we’ll offer for free:

  • Family portraits
  • Baby/toddler clothes/diapers/few larger items (including a crib) until supplies last
  • Self-care items

The event is family-friendly. There is an outside playground at Van Asselt, and we will also have a kids’ corner with art activities and children’s books.
