Summer 2018

In this year’s Summer issue, we advocate for many ways to keep your kid from being anything but bored this summer, from leadership camps they’ll love to camping as a family. But even with such variety, I encourage you to schedule in a little boredom, too.

Some of our readers’ best summertime memories happened because they were bored stiff as kids. You’ll read more about those but trust us, they’re all the proof you’ll need for a little unstructured fun this summer.

However you celebrate the sunny season, we hope you’ll find something to do (or not do) thanks to this issue. Because of our production schedule, we write it in the winter, which makes its sun-soaked pages a fond reminder that the sun does still exist behind those rainclouds. So read on, have fun, get bored.
