Yes, the Underground Tour is a tourist trap, but it's a funny and educational one that every Seattle family should do at least once. Tour guides lead visitors under the streets of Pioneer Square, where there’s an entire sublevel of storefronts and sidewalks.
Seattle raised the city’s streets up one story after the Great Fire of 1889, resulting in this hidden underground. You’ll never see those purple glass tiles on the sidewalk the same way again. For this tromp through subterranean alleyways, you'll pay $22 for adults, $20 for students and $10 for youth ages 7–12. The tour is free for ages 6 and under, although the 75-minute walking tour is better suited to tweens and up.
