Taking Thanksgiving out!
Update Nov. 16: Due to a huge spike in coronavirus cases statewide, Gov. Jay Inslee issued new restrictions, including closing indoor restaurant dining. You may be able to dine outside at some of these restaurants, but more likely their Thanksgiving menus will be limited to takeout. Contact your preferred restaurant to be sure. And please, mask up and do not gather with those outside your household — as hard as that is — so we can get back to normal in 2021.
Thanksgiving is a wonderful day for those who love baking, cooking, braising and chopping. But what if your kitchen is roughly the size of a hatbox? Or if you're like me and your culinary achievements include things like toast and spaghetti? This year, especially, when our Thanksgiving table is likely only our immediate family, we can't spread the dishes and tasks among all the guests. In 2020 we need to limit the headaches.
Fortunately, Seattle and surrounding areas have an array of restaurants offering tasty Thanksgiving meals — for both dine-in service and takeout.
Plus, these restaurants need our business. So check out the options, several of which we found with help from our readers, and be sure to book ahead, either your table reservation or your takeout meal — then relax and enjoy.
