Earth Week at Pacific Science Center

Calendar/Event Details

Celebrate Earth Day all week long with Pacific Science Center. Our exhibits offer a wide variety of earth-centric experiences from the ground beneath your feet to the depths of the oceans and the sky above. We also have baby pandas in 3D!

Explore our local geology and tidal currents at the Puget Sound Model, now with augmented reality. Witness the beauty of Mother Nature right before your eyes as you walk through our Pollinator Garden and Civilized Seeds exhibits. Travel back in time to learn what Earth was like during the Mesozoic era in Dinosaurs: A Journey Through Time, and then stop by the Tree Slice, an exhibit kept from the 1962 World’s Fair, and count the rings to learn the age of an old-growth tree. Dive with whales at the VR Microtheater, an eight-minute virtual reality experience that takes you deep into the ocean.

These experiences and more will be available at Pacific Science Center for Earth Week, April 16-22. On Saturday, April 21, we are excited to host a book release for Explore the Salish Sea: A Nature Guide for Kids by Joseph K. Gaydos and Audrey Benedict, from 2-3 p.m. The authors will give a presentation on the book and the photography included, followed by a Q&A session and book signing.
