Don't miss one of Green Kent's biggest annual events! This year's Earth Day celebration will be Saturday, April 21 (9 a.m. to noon) at Riverview Park (Hawley Road at S. 255th), where tenacious, invasive blackberries have taken root. Help us remove them and spread mulch to help keep them from coming back. Rain or shine. Register at KentWA.gov/comevolunteer.
Where to meet: From South Washington St./SR 181, turn on Hawley Road, go past LA Fitness and other businesses. Parking lot is on the left just before the park entrance. Follow event signs.
What to bring: personal refillable water bottle, snack, Minor Waiver Form if under 18 years old
Dress for the weather. Wear sturdy shoes or boots, with socks. No sandals or flip-flops allowed.
