Celebrate May the Fourth at The Museum of Flight! 

The Museum celebrates everything Star Wars with family programs including lightsaber shows and training by the Saber Guild, wildly energetic music by the 8-Bit Brass Band, roaming R2-D2s and the 501st Garrison Titan Star Wars cosplayers, VR space painting, Star Wars collections of STARS Seattle, and a presentation by Star Wars artist Kevin Graham.

Special admission discount: Anyone wearing a costume will receive a $3 discount on the price of admission! 
Special membership discount: Anyone wearing a costume will receive a 20 percent discount on a regularly priced membership! Excludes other membership promotions and gift memberships. 

These discounts must be redeemed in-person. Not available online.

All activities are free with museum membership and included with general admission.

Schedule:

8-bit Brass Band

Time: 11 a.m. and 1 p.m.

8-Bit Brass Band is the cosplaying party band specializing in video game tunes, anime anthems, movie mashups, and fandom favorites, celebrating everyone’s inner nerd on the streets and stages of Seattle and way beyond.

VR Art Experience


Time: 10 to 11 a.m. and 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Step inside your own virtual painting in a galaxy far far away. Fifteen-minute sessions. Suitable for age 13 and up. Space is limited; sign-ups day of are required and are first-come, first-served.

Saber Guild 10-minute battle demos

Time: 10:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m.

Saber Guild is a not-for-profit, LucasFilm-recognized Star Wars costuming group that specializes in choreographed lightsaber shows. They perform to raise money for charity and share the love of Star Wars.

Saber Guild Lightsaber Training Sessions

Times: noon to 12:45 p.m. and 3 to 3:45 p.m.

Kevin Graham Artist Presentation and Demonstration

Time: 2 p.m.

Kevin Graham will talk about his time as a professional artist for Disney Studios and Star Wars, followed by an art demonstration.

Weekend Family Workshops: Rovers

Times: 10:30 a.m. to noon & 1 to 2 p.m.

Weekend Family Workshops are hands-on, family experiences investigating science, engineering and aerospace topics in fun and surprising ways. This session, museum educators will teach you to create a paper Rover model!
