March 29th: Nature Movie Night: “Big Blue” 5 p.m. – 6 p.m. Mercer Slough Environmental Education Center, 1625 118th Avenue SE So much remains a mystery as to how many of the ocean’s creature survive. This episode focuses on some of the toughest predators of the ocean. The researchers and film crews go to great lengths to give us a rare glimpse into the lives of these survivors. This film is part of the Blue Planet Series II, narrated by David Attenborough. We’ll provide the popcorn! Ages: All ages welcome, but best for 5 years and older. April 26th: Nature Movie Night: “Our Blue Planet” 5 p.m. – 6 p.m. Mercer Slough Environmental Education Center, 1625 118th Avenue SE This episode examines the role of human anthropogenic activity on the oceans. Microplastics and pollution are an increasing problem for the world’s seas, threatening the lives of marine life and ultimately affecting the ecosystem. Can human reverse their activity to protect these threatened ecosystems and the wildlife dependent on them? This film is part of the Blue Planet Series II, narrated by David Attenborough.
