Parkour teaches people how to use their bodies to move through the environment and overcome obstacles. By turning challenges into opportunities for physical and mental growth, Parkour is a fun way to channel a spirited kid's high-energy and help shy or even uncoordinated kids become more confident and capable.
This is a new class that's offered on Saturdays, from 1:30–3 p.m. for 6-10 year olds.
- Dates offered: August 3, 10; September 7, 14, 21 and 28
Locations vary, check www.Kongacademy.org for details. Class is donation based and 50% of all proceeds goes back into the community (scholarships for parkour programs and donations to YouthCare, www.youthcare.com to support homeless youth in Seattle).
The location for this event is Edmonds City Park. Meeting point is the lower parking lot by the snow cone stand.
