Join us for a fun and interactive day planned for teens by the Renton Teen Round Table.
The day will be devoted to talking about bullying, and how it affects teens, and what you can do to take action against bullying in your school and community.
Schedule of events:
11am-12pm - Social hour. Meet up with old friends, and meet new people! We'll be giving out raffle tickets for some really cool prizes including gift cards and gift baskets.
12pm-1pm - Special guest speakers: DC Bully Busters! The DC Bully Busters is a group of middle schoolers who decided to do something about bullying in politics. They believed kids shouldn't bully and neither should our Congressional representatives. They will talk about the action they took, and how you can make changes too!
1pm-2pm - Free Lunch! Pizza, sandwiches and snacks. While enjoying lunch, we'll have crafts and activities to keep you talking about how to eradicate bullying!
2pm-3pm - Panel discussion - Youth from the NW Network's OutSpoken Speakers Bureau will discuss how bullying affected their lives and provide resources for dealing with bullying.
3pm-4pm - Conversation corner - we'll break up into small groups to talk about what we've learned and make plans to take action!
