What makes us fall in love with a character in a book? What makes us feel that the character is a real person? This workshop will feature exercises to help writers brainstorm and build full, realistic story characters. We will also discuss stereotypes and how to avoid them.

Young adult author Karen Finneyfrock will lead this workshop for ages 12 to 18. It is full of exercises to help young writers create characters that feel real, come expecting to write.
