Based on the popular Chinese adventure tale, YTN presents The Monkey King with a Northwest twist. Follow four teenaged versions of Monkey, Pig, a Buddhist Monk, and a General through familiar neighborhoods in their quest to better themselves. Directed by YTN Executive Artistic Director Mimi Katano, this original adaptation is written by one of Seattle’s favorite playwrights, Maggie Lee, author of 2018’s YTN hit Through the Looking Glass and What Alice Found There, and staged with the expert help of Seattle-based clown and physical comedian, Mick Holsbeke.
