New Year’s at the Needle

Wednesday, Dec. 31 @ 10 p.m.–11:59 p.m.

Beginning at 10 p.m. video artist Sean Waple transforms the fountain waters into a shimmering canvas of projected visuals. It’s a vibrant, uniquely Seattle way to dance into 2026.

As midnight approaches, guests are invited to find their viewing spot for Alaska Airlines New Year’s at the Needle, the Space Needle’s world-class pyrotechnic and drone spectacular. The 18-minute show begins at 11:53 p.m., when 500 illuminated drones take to the sky for a mesmerizing countdown. At midnight, fireworks launch from the Space Needle, ushering in the new year with color, sound, and celebration. Visitors can also enjoy the tower’s 10-minute choreographed light shows at 10 p.m., 10:30 p.m., 11 p.m., and 11:30 p.m.
