Whether you think it’s cringe or fire, it’s difficult to deny that families can come away with some screaming deals during Amazon Prime Day (June 23–26). To help parents save their spending money for summer fun, I scoped out all the Prime Day deals and am sharing my favorites here. Many should add to your family’s summer adventures; a few are great to stash away for birthdays or holidays. All are chosen with families in mind.

Amazon Echo Dot Kids

Many parents wait to buy Amazon devices until Prime Day when prices drop to some of the lowest of the year. I’m a fan of the Amazon Echo Dot for kids. Paired with Spotify, my daughter uses it to listen to music while cleaning her room. Kids can also play games, listen to jokes, ask Alexa all those questions they usually throw your way, and turn on the Sleep Studio when it’s time for bed.

Bonus: The Amazon Echo Glow is another great find. The dynamic smart lamp changes color and can help signal kids when it’s time to go to sleep and wake up.

Cost: $34.99

Magna-Tiles

My kids have been playing with these since my oldest was 2 years old. They’re indestructible and have stood the test of time as far as toys go. Many sets are on sale during Prime Day — pick your favorite one, and maybe stash one away for an upcoming birthday while you’re at it. My suggestion is to start with the Magna-Tiles Classic 100 piece set. It’s got everything you need for hours of play — indoors or outdoors.

Cost: $83.99

Easy playhouse movie theater stand

I’m a fan of anything that keeps my kids entertained for hours on end, and this cardboard pop-up should do the trick. Kids can build it, color it and then use it to welcome guests to their homemade movie theater or puppet show to see the big production. A similar carnival tent is also on sale during Prime Day.

Cost: $27.99

Beats Solo 4 headphones

I consider a good pair of headphones to be essential for kids, especially on family road trips. Connect these via bluetooth so kids can listen to audiobooks, music and more while you enjoy peace and quiet — for a little while anyway.

Cost: $99.95

Toniebox 2 farm bundle

Another travel accessory that keeps kids entertained without the use of a screen is the latest Toniebox. The farm bundle includes three characters that sing sweet songs and provide about 30 minutes of screen-free entertainment. Comes in three colors: red, pink and blue.

Cost: $99

Owalla water bottle

Replenish your depleted supply of water bottles just in time for summer camps and beach trips. We’ve had good luck with this brand when it comes to staying leak-proof over time, and the spout allows kids to sip through a straw or not, depending on the situation. A few color combos are on sale during Prime Day.

Stanley classic French press coffee maker

While I rely pretty heavily on my Keurig to brew my morning cup, it never hurts to have a back-up coffee maker. This French press is easy to pack on your next family camping or glamping trip, too. The double vacuum insulation keeps coffee hot for up to four hours after it’s brewed.

Cost: $42

Soda Stream Terra

This bundle comes with everything kids need to make their own Italian sodas this summer. My kids love picking out sugar-free syrups and mixing them with the soda-streamed water to make crazy-fun flavors that keep everyone guessing. This bundle includes three reusable carbonating bottles and two C02 cylinders.

Cost: $79.99

Martha Stewart ice cream maker

Let your kids experiment with natural ingredients and imaginative flavors when you purchase this ice cream maker just in time for summer. The double-insulated bowl helps the process keep tempo with your kid’s attention span. Makes ice cream, sorbet and frozen yogurt. Five colors to choose from.

Bogg Bag original tote

Even on sale, this viral bag is pricey. But it’s built to last and has rave reviews for durability, especially by families who are on-the-go. The original tote includes two clear insert bags, but accessories like the topper, and phone or beverage holders are an extra purchase. Medium and small tote sizes are also on sale, depending on color.

As an alternative, opt for a dupe — Simple Modern large beach bag — to save even more.

Bunch O Balloons

These are a game changer on a hot day if you’ve got a group of kids to keep entertained, or better yet, a summer birthday party to host. Just remember to pick up all the little pieces once the water wars are over.

Solarbuddies sunscreen applicator

No more messy hands that collect sand like magnets after putting on kids’ sunscreen. This inventive device lets kids roll it on with ease, even on their face! Simply fill it with your favorite sunscreen lotion and then hand it over to your little one or roll it on yourself. It’s that easy.

Walkie talkies

Get a neighborhood game of Hide and Seek or Capture the Flag going with these walkie talkies that help kids communicate over a long distance. Or let your kids explore your neighborhood or play at a large park, while still keeping in touch with you — they have a 16-mile range. This set comes with two; if you need more, consider this set of three.

Birdbuddy Pro Solar Smart Bird Feeder

If the Holderness Family has deemed it cool, then birdwatching can’t be that bad, right? See who’s visiting your house with this video-enabled feeder. The system pairs with an AI-enabled app that identifies birds and captures video you can share with your kids. The app requires a premium subscription.

Yeti limited edition Tundra 45 cooler

Car camping families have long relied on Yeti coolers to keep things chill in the wilderness. They cinch tightly and have a fat-wall design that helps keep things cold for days on end. Anyone who knows this product knows sales are the best time to snag something if you can. A soft cooler is also on sale, in certain colors.
