Covington America 250th Birthday Party

Hey Covington! You are invited to an America 250th Birthday Party on Friday, July 31 at Covington Community Park!

Join us to celebrate America’s 250th anniversary beginning at 5:30 p.m. with activities and booths. Then at 6:10 p.m. we will have the presentation of colors, singing of the national anthem, a presentation from our “What Makes America Beautiful” speech contest winner, and birthday cake, of course! Following the celebration, we will have our summer concert with Groove Nation from 6:30-8 p.m., followed by more activities and food trucks, then our Outdoor Family Movie featuring National Treasure at 9 p.m.

We are excited to have Alder Tree Education on hand to lead a kids pioneer workshop where kids aged 3-12 and their families are encouraged to learn what life was like for pioneer kids featuring pioneer games, a pioneer cabin, writing on slate, puzzles, touching wool and more.
