Whether it be a wedding anniversary, a birthday or the year-end holidays, we’ve rounded up the best places to get your sweet treats, fancy dinner, balloons and even entertainment right in your own home.

Eat sweet treats

There is nothing like a cake to put the icing on an important day. Macrina Bakery has delicious whole cakes that can be ordered with two days notice. Choose from Tuxedo Cake, Carrot Cake or Mom’s Chocolate Cake, or dig into a rustic tart or pie.
If cupcakes and slices are more your style, check out Deep Sea Sugar & Salt, which offers a rotating selection of slices and cupcakes at their walk-up window. Whole cakes and special orders require seven days’ advance notice. Choose from unique flavors such as Chai Apple Cardamom, Molasses Stout, 9-lb. Porter Chocolate and more.
For something really decadent, go to Hot Cakes for individual molten cakes, cookie ice cream sandwiches and more. They even carry natural wine by the bottle and organic beer. Both locations in Capitol Hill and Ballard have limited delivery or takeout options.
Show me the holiday cookies 🎄🍪
The SweetSide in Seattle has a wonderful selection of holiday goodies, including a cookie grazing kit, a classic cookie platter and a cookie decorating kit. Online orders can be picked up in the store or shipped to your home.
Seatown Sweets in Kirkland is offering adorable ready-made vanilla sugar cookies with frosting, piping bags and sprinkles. They have three different holiday kits to choose from. Online orders can be picked up in the store or shipped to your home.
Gluten-free? Nuflours in Seattle offers delicious, festive cookies for gluten-free kids, including gingerbread people and a gingerbread house kit. Online orders can be delivered on the same day through Grubhub or DoorDash, shipped to your home or picked up in the store.
Dine in style

Put on your fancy pants for a special dinner. Take a break from cooking or your usual fare for a special-occasion restaurant experience at home.
Wild Ginger Bellevue and McKenzie locations are open for takeout and delivery. The McKenzie location also offers Dinner for Two, Date Night for Two and Family Meal options. These include entrées, sides and dessert. Add a bottle of wine to elevate your celebration.
Cafe Juanita is offering a rotating menu of chef-prepared entrées to reheat at home, including options such as a roasted veal chop dinner or a Muscovy duck breast. Or choose from handmade pastas to cook at home. The restaurant also offers pantry items and beer, wine and cocktails for pickup.
Spinasse is offering fully cooked menu items for takeout, along with many dishes to cook at home, including “prepare at home” dinners for two. These dinners are deconstructed, raw and include detailed cooking instructions plus a bottle of red wine.
Ascend Prime Steak & Sushi has three takeout gourmet menus on offer which include items from their signature menu, casual menu and family comfort food menu. Wine and cocktails may be added to make your dinner feel extra-special.
Monsoon Seattle and Bellevue are open for takeout and delivery. Family meals to go for the holidays are available throughout the month of December. Dinner for two is $65, dinner for four is $125. Meals must be ordered one day in advance and picked up and the restaurant.
Cafe Flora is open for takeout and delivery. You can create your own holiday feast by pre-ordering entrées and take-n-bake treats. Everything will be fully prepared and will include reheating instructions. You can also order natural wines, craft brews, plus housemade shrubs to make your event extra special. All items must be ordered one to two days in advance.
Blow it up

Balloons can make the most dreary day more festive. Luckily, balloons and balloon bouquets can be delivered right to your door, or to the door of a special someone.
