Looking for a way to encourage your teen to put down the screens and get some exercise this summer? Consider the Planet Fitness High School Summer Pass program. Teenagers ages 14–19 can register for a free summer membership to the Planet Fitness location of their choice, and exercise for free all summer long.
Many teenagers are struggling with mental health issues as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic, and while they want to exercise and make physical health a priority there can be many barriers. The Planet Fitness website notes two factors for teens wishing to work out: 78 percent say just having access to a place to work out is key; and 72 percent report that being able to exercise with friends is a priority.
The Planet Fitness High School Summer Pass program aims to address those factors by offering a free pass to the gym, including in-club fitness training and access to 15 trainer-led workout videos and 10 downloadable workouts. And just in case you need even more reason to participate, Planet Fitness is awarding a $500 scholarship in each state, and one grand-prize $5,000 scholarship at the end of the summer.
The program runs May 16–Aug. 31, so encourage your teen to grab a friend and sign up today!
