Loretta Soffe

Loretta Soffe is the author of “Balance Is Bullshit,” a candid guide for ambitious parents ready to trade the myth of “perfect balance” for what actually works. Her career spans 25 years at Nordstrom, where she rose from cashier to executive vice president leading a $2 billion business, followed by founding a global consulting practice where she advises owners, operators and investors on retail growth strategies. 

She raised three kids along the way, and now writes and speaks about the routines, boundaries and mindset shifts that got her family through it. Loretta lives with her family on Mercer Island and continues to write and speak about building an ambitious career without sacrificing the people who matter most.
