2016 Golden Teddy Awards: How It Works

Best of Seattle: 2011 ParentMap Golden Teddy Awards

ParentMap’s 2016 Golden Teddy Awards contest recognizes the best businesses and resources in the greater Seattle area for kids, families and parents. Readers will cast write-in votes in over 50 categories. Readers must share their email address to vote and to be entered to win voting prizes.

Readers are eligible to vote twice in each category throughout duration of the voting period, once during the write in phase (March 15–April 1)  and once during the voting phase after the top three finalists are nominated in each category (April 11–24 ).

Finalists will be determined by the six (or more, ties included) categories with the greatest number of legitimate votes.

Winners will be determined by the greatest number of legitimate votes during the voting phase. No special preference will be given to advertisers or any business patronized by ParentMap. ParentMap reserves the right to disqualify from the competition any businesses or individuals who attempt to unfairly influence the outcome.

ParentMap also retains the right to make final editorial decisions when we are unable to recognize a vote as a legitimate entry, in cases of multiple ties, or when a vote wasn’t appropriate for a category.

Results of the 2016 Golden Teddy vote will be presented with the July issue of ParentMap and online.
