TXT ME FRM DA CRIB

Published on: December 30, 2013

OMG! What to make of this? Word is out that LeapFrog - makers of all of those fun little-kid laptop-like toys - has developed a new tot "smart phone" called the Text and Learn children's PDA.

And I don't think they mean "personal diaper assistant."

On the one hand, it's the world, so live in it.

On the other hand, EWWWW!

Could it be a hoax? Techno blogs are buzzing with "leaked" details - like the full QWERTY keyboard, phonics functions, and games to teach spelling and basic computer skills. And then there's "texting" your special onscreen buddy, Scout. Word is, the Text and Learn will leapfrog into stores in August for about $30.

Thanks to cool PM'er Kristin for the tip!
