Today is World Water Day - not just another Hallmark holiday, created to separate you from your money. No, today is a day to stop - just for a moment - and ponder this staggeringly unforgettable (and possibly unforgivable) fact: More than one billion people in this world do not have access to clean drinking water. That's a whole lot of children drinking sludge and then dying from it. A story in this morning's Seattle Post-Intelligencer puts that number at one child every 14 seconds.
