Margi Preus, author of Heart of a Samurai, a Newbery Honor book, and Global Reading Challenge selection, has written a wonderful new book, Shadow on the Mountain. Set in Nazi-occupied Norway during World War II, a fourteen year old boy and his friends join the Resistance. The book is based on a true story. Children ages 9 and up will love Preus’s historical novels and will re-read them time and time again.
