Grammy Award–winning violinist Anne-Sophie Mutter returns to Seattle for a recital that spans three centuries, performed together with longtime recital partner Lambert Orkis. The program will include stunning works for violin and piano by Mozart, Schubert, Saint-Saëns and Lutos?awski.
Mutter, who last performed at Benaroya Hall in 2008, has garnered worldwide acclaim for her exquisite musicality, and was praised by London’s Times as “the undisputed queen of violin-playing.” One of the most brilliant and sought-after violinists of our time, Mutter also strives to strengthen the lives and careers of young artists through the Anne-Sophie Mutter Foundation, a program dedicated to helping talented students find teachers, instruments and performance opportunities.
